(2)To compile information on those individuals for whom receipt or possession of a firearm would violate the law so that such information can be included in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System which may be used by firearm licensees (importers, manufactures or dealers) to determine whether individuals are disqualified from receiving or possessing a firearm; and
(3)To compile information on those individuals for whom access to a biological agent or toxin would violate the law so that such information can be included in a database which may be used to determine whether individuals are disqualified from accessing such agents or toxins. The GAC consists of 12 members representing state, local, and tribal governments. The Committees are responsible for providing advice to the U.S. Representative on a wide range of strategic, scientific, technological, regulatory, and economic issues related to implementation and further elaboration of the NAAEC.
