waiver of venue and consent thereto - Judgments.
If, in any criminal proceeding, the accused enters a plea of guilty or nolo contendere and waives his venue rights by express written waiver, and upon consent of the prosecuting attorneys of both the disposition county and the originating venue county, any judge in any district court is authorized to accept such plea for an offense committed in any county charged by complaint, indictment, information or other equivalent pleading, and may dispose of the offense or offenses set out in such pleadings.
An exemplified copy of the judgment shall constitute a judgment on the merits in the case in the court or courts of the originating venue county or counties. Added by Laws 1985, c. 20, § 1, eff. Nov. 1, 1985.
