62.040 Peace officers' oath to suppress gaming.

(1)Every peace officer shall take an oath that he will endeavor, to the best of his
ability, to detect and prosecute all gamblers and others violating the laws against
gaming.
(2)The oath specified in subsection
(1)of this section may be administered by any
person who may administer an oath pursuant to KRS 62.020. A person shall not
administer the oath specified in subsection
(1)of this section to himself or herself.
