211.188 Alzheimer's disease awareness -- Publication of materials by Department

for Aging and Independent Living.
(1)The Department for Aging and Independent Living shall collaborate with the
Department for Public Health and the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Kentucky
and Southern Indiana to update and incorporate into the materials the Department
for Aging and Independent Living publishes and distributes to the public, the
following information:
(a)To aid people's understanding and awareness of Alzheimer's disease and other
dementias, including links to chronic conditions such as vascular disease,
diabetes, and smoking;
(b)On early signs of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias that should be
discussed with healthcare professionals; and
(c)On steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of cognitive decline, particularly
among persons in communities who are at greater risk of developing
Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia.
(2)The Department for Aging and Independent Living shall publish the materials from
subsection
(1)of this section on its website and distribute the materials to all sixty-
one
(61)local health departments in Kentucky by:
(a)Digital formats;
(b)Physical copies of campaign materials; or
(c)In conjunction with educational programming.
