Section 40803(f) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ( 16 U.S.C. 6592(f) ) is amended— by striking paragraph (1)(B), and inserting the following: to carry out projects including— landscape and hazardous fuels reduction treatments; the retrofit, modification, or maintenance of a structure to improve resistance to fire; creating defensible space around structures to improve resistance to fire; hardening infrastructure, including evacuation routes, to improve resistance to fire; any other project described in a community wildfire protection plan that is not more than 10 years old; and deployment of wildfire technologies determined to be successful under section 303 of the Fix Our Forests Act . ; in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (B), by striking or at the end; in subparagraph (C), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; or ; and by adding at the end the following: located in a fireshed management area (as defined in section 2 of the Fix Our Forests Act ). ; and in paragraph (3)— in subparagraph (C)(i), by striking continental ; and by adding at the end the following:
Not more than 7 percent of funds obligated under this section may be used for administrative expenses incurred by the Secretary of Agriculture or an at-risk community. .
