Not later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, and every 2 years thereafter, the Secretary of Transportation shall submit to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate a report on the progress of the Secretary in implementing the recommendations in chapter 4 of the report titled Norfolk Southern Railway Derailment and Hazardous Materials Release issued on June 25, 2024 by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB/RIR–24–05).
