An individual in the custody of the Department may not be placed in solitary confinement. In this section, the term solitary confinement — means the confinement of an individual to the individual’s cell, alone or with a cellmate, whether pursuant to disciplinary, administrative, or classification action; and does not include the confinement of an individual to an individual’s cell during designated sleeping time.
