Sec. 413. Report on Iranian counterintelligence threats in the United States

Not later than 180 days after the enactment of this Act, and annually thereafter, the Attorney General jointly with the Director of National Intelligence shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report describing— the scope of Iranian counterintelligence threats; a determination regarding whether agents of the Government of Iran have sought employment or have been employed in positions in the United States Federal Government; an assessment of Iranian espionage, influence, and infiltration efforts in the United States, to include an assessment of the role of the Iran Experts Initiative in these efforts; and a strategy to counter Iranian espionage, influence, and infiltration efforts in the United States.
The report required by subsection
(a)shall be submitted in unclassified form, but may include a classified annex if necessary. The unclassified portion of such report shall be made available on a publicly available internet website of the Federal Government. In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on Financial Services of the House of Representatives; and the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Relations, the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, and the Committee on the Judiciary of the Senate.
