In this section: The term Commission means the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The term reliability standard has the meaning given the term in section 215(a) of the Federal Power Act ( 16 U.S.C. 824o(a) ). Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Commission, in accordance with section 215(d)(5) of the Federal Power Act ( 16 U.S.C. 824o(d)(5) ), shall order the Electric Reliability Organization to file with the Commission a reliability standard relating to planning for offshore transmission that evaluates and, as necessary, provides clarity with respect to— credible multiple contingencies of subsea cables within a common corridor; credible multiple contingencies of high-voltage direct current bipole topologies with dedicated metallic return; and generator definitions for large distributed energy generation plans composed of multiple individual generators within planning contingency standards.
