Amounts made available for the Office of Housing under the heading Program Offices in this and prior Acts shall also be available, without additional competition, for cooperative agreements with participating administrative entities that have been selected under section 513(b) of the Multifamily Assisted Housing Reform and Affordability Act of 1997 ( 42 U.S.C. 1437f note) (MAHRAA) to provide direct support, including carrying out due diligence and underwriting functions for owners and for technical assistance activities, on conditions established by the Secretary for small properties and owners converting assistance under the first component or the second component under the heading Rental Assistance Demonstration in the Department of Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act, 2012 (title II of division C of Public Law 112–55 ).
