Sec. 1262. Report on corruption in People's Liberation Army

Not later than June 1, 2025, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report on corruption in the People’s Liberation Army, which shall, at a minimum, include the following: An assessment of the impact of corruption on the following: Personnel assignment. Training. Acquisition and procurement. Military operations. Budget. Military readiness. Logistics. Military construction. An assessment of the extent to which members of the Central Military Commission of the Chinese Communist Party and members of their families engage in corruption as described in paragraph (1). The report required by subsection
(a)shall be submitted in unclassified form but may include a classified annex if necessary. In this section, the term appropriate committees of Congress means— the Committee on Armed Services and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate; and the Committee on Armed Services and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.
