Section 441 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1999 (113 Stat. 328) is amended— in subsection (a), by striking flood control, and inserting flood risk management, hurricane and storm damage risk reduction, ; in subsection (b), by striking the study and inserting any study under this section ; and by striking subsection
(c)and inserting the following: Any study carried out by the Secretary under this section after the date of enactment of the Water Resources Development Act of 2024 shall be treated as a continuation of the initial study carried out under this section. A project resulting from a study carried out under this section may be implemented pursuant to section 212. .
