Sec. 2874. Clarification of other transaction authority for installation or facility prototyping

Section 4022(i) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A), by striking ; and and inserting a period; by striking subparagraph (B); and by striking paragraph
(1)and all that follows through not more and inserting paragraph (1), except for projects carried out for the purpose of repairing a facility, not more ; by redesignating paragraph
(3)as paragraph (4); and by inserting after paragraph
(2)the following new paragraph (3): The Secretary of Defense or the Secretary of a military department may carry out prototype projects under the pilot program established under paragraph
(1)using amounts available for military construction, notwithstanding— subchapters I and III of chapter 169 of this title; and chapters 221 and 223 of this title. .
