Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall— implement the recommendations of the Comptroller General of the United States contained in the report published by the Comptroller General on April 6, 2023, reissued with revisions on April 20, 2023, and titled DOD Can Further Strengthen Oversight of Its Privatized Housing Program (GAO–23–105377); or if the Secretary does not implement any such recommendation, submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report explaining why the Secretary has not implemented those recommendations.
