The Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 ( 7 U.S.C. 2011 et seq. ), as amended by sections 4125 and 4128, is amended by adding at the end the following: The Secretary of Agriculture shall issue guidance to States on how to identify and notify eligible students who are likely to qualify for the supplemental nutrition assistance program. In issuing the guidance under subsection (a), the Secretary of Agriculture may consult with the Secretary of Education. In this section, the term eligible student means a student receiving work-study assistance under part C of title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. .
