In this Act: The term CHIP means the Children’s Health Insurance Program established under title XXI of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1397aa et seq. ). The term Comptroller General means the Comptroller General of the United States. The terms group health plan , health insurance coverage , health insurance issuer , group health insurance coverage , and individual health insurance coverage have the meanings given such terms in section 2791 of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 300gg–91 ).
The term Medicaid means the Medicaid program established under title XIX of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1396 et seq. ). The term medicaid managed care organization has the meaning given that term in section 1903(m)(1)(A) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1396b(m)(1)(A) ). The term Secretary means the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The term State has the meaning given that term for purposes of titles V, XIX, and XXI of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 701 et seq. 1396 et seq., 1397aa et seq.).
