Section 3241 of the National Nuclear Security Administration Act ( 50 U.S.C. 2441 ) is amended— in the first sentence, by striking 800 and inserting 1,000 ; and by adding at the end the following new sentence: Not fewer than 40 percent of the positions established under the first sentence of this section shall be positions the primary responsibility of which is to support defense programs. .
