The United States Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development shall support Colombia’s Ministry of Education in the development of K–12 STEM curricula, the development of a STEM teacher education and degree program at public schools, and the training of 10,000 new K–12 public school educators, including in underrepresented and Afro-Colombian and Indigenous communities. In designing and implementing the program required under subsection (a), the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development shall coordinate with the Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation and the Chief Executive Officer of the Peace Corps.
There is authorized to be appropriated to the United States Agency for International Development $10,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2027 for the creation of the program authorized under subsection (a). Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and annually thereafter, the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development shall brief the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate and the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives on the results of the program required under subsection (a).
