Section 3111(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018 ( Public Law 115–91 ; 50 U.S.C. 2402 note) is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking reduce the deferred maintenance and repair needs of the nuclear security enterprise by not less than 30 percent by 2025 and inserting reduce the total deferred maintenance per replacement plant value of the nuclear security enterprise by not less than 45 percent by 2030 ; in paragraph (2)(A)(i)(II), by striking $50,000,000 and inserting $75,000,000 ; in paragraph (3)— in the paragraph heading, by striking and inserting Initial plan ; and Plan required in the matter preceding subparagraph (A)— by striking 2018 and inserting 2022 ; and by striking an initial plan and inserting a plan ; in paragraph (4)— by striking 2024 and inserting 2023 ; and by striking 2025 and inserting 2030 ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraphs:
Not later than March 1, 2023, and annually thereafter through 2030, the Administrator for Nuclear Security shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report with respect to whether the updated plan under paragraph
(3)is being implemented in a manner adequate to achieve the goal specified in paragraph (1). .
