It is the sense of Congress that— the servicemembers of the United States Armed Forces who served in Afghanistan represent the very best of the United States; the service of those who returned home from war with wounds seen and unseen and those who died in defense of the Nation are not forgotten; the United States honors these brave members of the Armed Forces and their families; and the United States shall never forget the services they rendered and the sacrifices they and their families made in the defense of a grateful Nation.
