Section 1222(c) of the Water Resources Development Act of 2018 (132 Stat. 3811; 134 Stat. 2661) is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking the Upper Missouri River Basin and the North Platte River Basin and inserting the Upper Missouri River Basin, the North Platte River Basin, and the Apalachicola Chattahoochee Flint River Basin ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A), by striking the Upper Missouri River Basin or the North Platte River Basin and inserting the Upper Missouri River Basin, the North Platte River Basin, or the Apalachicola Chattahoochee Flint River Basin ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking the Upper Missouri River Basin or the North Platte River Basin and inserting the Upper Missouri River Basin, the North Platte River Basin, or the Apalachicola Chattahoochee Flint River Basin .
The Secretary shall expedite completion of the reports authorized by section 1222 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2018 (132 Stat. 3811; 134 Stat. 2661). The Secretary is authorized to carry out a research study pilot program at 1 or more dams owned and operated by the Secretary in the North Atlantic Division of the Corps of Engineers to assess the viability of forecast-informed reservoir operations in the eastern United States. Not later than 1 year after completion of the research study pilot program under paragraph (1), the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate a report on the results of the research study pilot program.
