Section 736(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 ( Public Law 117–81 ; 10 U.S.C. 1161 note) is amended— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking During the period of time beginning on August 24, 2021, and ending on the date that is two years after the date of the enactment of this Act, any and inserting Any ; in paragraph
(1)by striking ; or and inserting a semicolon; in paragraph (2), by striking the period and inserting ; or ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: in the case of a covered member receiving an administrative discharge before completing the first 180 continuous days of active duty, uncharacterized. .
