The War Powers Resolution ( 50 U.S.C. 1541 et seq. ), as amended by this Act, is further amended by inserting after section 8 the following: United States forces may not be introduced into hostilities or into situations where there is a serious risk of hostilities in a manner inconsistent with the Law of Armed Conflict, international humanitarian law, or the treaty obligations of the United States. .
