Amounts made available by section 101 for Department of the Interior—National Park Service—National Recreation and Preservation for heritage partnership programs may be used to provide financial assistance to any national heritage area, national heritage corridor, cultural heritage corridor, national heritage partnership, national heritage route, national heritage canalway, and battlefields national historic district established as of September 1, 2021, notwithstanding any statutory sunset provision terminating the Secretary’s authority to provide assistance to any such area and notwithstanding any limitation on amounts authorized to be appropriated with respect to any such area: , That the Commission sunset provision in section 804(j) of division B of H.R. 5666 (Appendix D), as amended, as enacted into law by section 1(a)(4) of Public Law 106– 554, shall be applied by substituting the date specified in section 106(3) of this Act for Provided September 30, 2021 : , That the authority in section 295D of Provided further Public Law 109–338 , as amended, shall continue in effect through the date specified in section 106(3) of this Act.
