Section 6(a)(1) of the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2020 ( Public Law 116–145 ; 22 U.S.C. 6901 note) is amended— by redesignating subparagraph

(E)as subparagraph (F); and by inserting after subparagraph

(D)the following: Serious human rights abuses in connection with forced labor. . The amendment made by subsection (a)— takes effect on the date of the enactment of this Act; and applies with respect to the first report required by section 6(a)(1) of the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2020 submitted after such date of enactment.
