Section 963 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 ( 42 U.S.C. 16293 ) is amended— in subsection (b), by adding at the end the following: The Secretary, in coordination with other Federal agencies including the United States Geological Survey, shall continue and expand ongoing Federal data collection and analysis activities related to carbon dioxide storage, economics, and spatial relationships on a local and regional scale, in coordination with State and regional entities. ; and by amending subsection
(g)to read as follows: There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary to carry out this section— $200,000,000 for fiscal year 2021; and $250,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2022 through 2031. .
