Sec. 507. Invasive species in alpine lakes pilot program

The Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, shall establish a pilot program (referred to in this section as the pilot program ) to develop and carry out effective measures necessary to prevent, control, or eradicate aquatic invasive species in alpine lakes that are not located within a unit of the National Park System. The Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, shall offer to enter into a partnership to carry out the pilot program with— any relevant partnering Federal agency; and any relevant compact agency organized with the consent of Congress under article I, section 10 of the Constitution of the United States.
There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out the pilot program $25,000,000 for the period of fiscal years 2022 through 2024.
