Chapter 57 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section No military decoration, including a medal, cross, or bar, or an associated emblem or insignia, may be awarded or presented to any person, or to a representative of the person, if the service of the person after the person distinguished himself or herself has not been honorable. . The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 57 of such title is amended by adding at the end the following: 1136. Honorable service requirement for award of military decorations. . Title 10, United States Code, is further amended as follows: In section 7274— in subsection
(b)in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking subsection
(d)and inserting subsection
(c); by striking subsection (c); and by redesignating subsection
(d)as subsection (c). Section 8299 is repealed. The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 837 is amended by striking the item relating to section 8299. In section 9274— in subsection
(b)in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking subsection
(d)and inserting subsection
(c); by striking subsection (c); and by redesignating subsection
(d)as subsection (c). In section 9279, by striking subsection (c).
