Chapter 12 of title 5, United States Code, is amended— in the table of sections, by striking the item relating to section 1205; in section 1202, by striking subsection (d); by striking section 1205; and in section 1211(b), by striking the fifth sentence. Section 7104(b) of title 5, United States Code, is amended in the first sentence by striking , and may be and all that follows through in office . Section 2(a)(10)(B) of the Commodity Exchange Act ( 7 U.S.C. 2(a)(10)(B) ) is amended by striking the second and third sentences.

The second undesignated paragraph of section 10 of the Federal Reserve Act ( 12 U.S.C. 242 ) is amended in the second sentence by striking , unless sooner removed for cause by the President . Section 111 of Public Law 93–495 ( 12 U.S.C. 250 ) is repealed. Section 1312(b)(2) of the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992 ( 12 U.S.C. 4512(b)(2) ) is amended by striking for cause . The Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 ( 12 U.S.C. 5481 et seq.) is amended— in section 1011(c) ( 12 U.S.C. 5491(c) ), by striking paragraph (3); in section 1012(c) ( 12 U.S.C. 5492(c) )— by striking paragraph (4); and by redesignating paragraph

(5)as paragraph (4); and in section 1017(a)(4) ( 12 U.S.C. 5497(a)(4) )— by striking subparagraph (E); and by redesignating subparagraph

(F)as subparagraph (E). The first section of the Federal Trade Commission Act ( 15 U.S.C. 41 ) is amended by striking the sixth sentence. The Consumer Product Safety Act ( 15 U.S.C. 2051 et seq.) is amended— in section 4(a) ( 15 U.S.C. 2053(a) ), by striking the last sentence; and in section 27(k)(2) ( 15 U.S.C. 2076(k)(2) ), by striking the second sentence. The Tennessee Valley Authority Act of 1933 ( 16 U.S.C. 831 et seq.) is amended— in section 4 ( 16 U.S.C. 831c ) in the undesignated matter following subsection (f), by striking : and all that follows through Provided , Representatives ; and in section 6 ( 16 U.S.C. 831e ), by striking the second sentence. Section 204 of the State Justice Institute Act of 1984 ( 42 U.S.C. 10703 ) is amended— by striking subsection (h); and by redesignating subsections (i), (j), and

(k)as subsections (h), (i), and (j), respectively. The first paragraph of section 4 of the Railway Labor Act ( 45 U.S.C. 154 ) is amended by striking the third undesignated subparagraph. Section 301(b) of title 46, United States Code, is amended by striking paragraph (5). Section 1111(c) of title 49, United States Code, is amended— in the subsection heading, by striking ; and and removal by striking the fourth sentence. Section 1113(c) of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking the second sentence. The fact that a provision of law in effect immediately before this Act takes effect that provides for-cause removal protection for a Principal officer is not repealed under the amendments made by subsection

(a)shall not be construed to— supersede section 3 of this Act; or continue the force or effect of such provision of law.
