There is established the National Coral Reef Management Fellowship Program. The purposes of the Fellowship Program is to encourage future leaders of the United States— to develop additional coral reef management capacity in States and Territories with coral reefs; provide State and Territorial coral reef management agencies with highly qualified candidates whose education and work experience meet the specific needs of each State and territory; and provide the individual fellows with professional experience in coastal and coral reef resources management.
The Secretary shall offer to provide a grant to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Ocean Service to administer the Fellowship.
