Part V of subtitle A of title 10, United States Code, as added by section 801 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 ( Public Law 115–232 ), is amended by inserting after chapter 307, as added by the preceding section, the following new chapter: Sec. 4171. Operational test and evaluation of defense acquisition programs. 4172. Major systems and munitions programs: survivability testing and lethality testing required before full-scale production. 4173.
Department of Defense Test Resource Management Center. . Sections 2399, 2366, and 196 of title 10, United States Code, are transferred to chapter 309 of such title, as amended by subsection (a), inserted after the table of sections (in that order), and redesignated as section 4171, 4172, and 4173, respectively. Section 139(b)(6) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking section 2366 and inserting section 4172 . Section 171a(i)(3) of such title is amended by striking section 2366(e) and inserting sections 4172(e) .
Section 2275(g)(3) of such title is amended by striking section 2366(e)(7) and inserting sections 4172(e)(7) . Section 130i(j)(3)(C)(ix) of such title is amended by striking section 196(i) and inserting sections 4173(i) . Section 4111 of such title, as transferred and redesignated by section 503(b)(2), is amended by striking section 196 in subsection (f)(1) and inserting section 4173 . Section 220(c) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 ( Public Law 111–84 ; 10 U.S.C. 221 note) is amended by striking section 196(h) and inserting sections 4173(i) .
