Section 503(c)(3) of title 23, United States Code, is amended— in subparagraph (B)— in clause
(v)by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; in clause
(vi)by striking the period and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: the deployment of innovative pavement designs, materials, and practices that reduce or sequester the amount of greenhouse gas emissions generated during the production of highway materials and the construction of highways, with consideration for findings from the materials to reduce greenhouse gas emissions program under subsection (d). ; in subparagraph
(C)by striking fiscal years 2016 through 2020 and inserting fiscal years 2022 through 2025 ; and in subparagraph (D)(ii)— in subclause
(III)by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; in subclause
(IV)by striking the period and inserting a semicolon; and by adding at the end the following: pavement monitoring and data collection practices; pavement durability and resilience; stormwater management; impacts on vehicle efficiency; the energy efficiency of the production of paving materials and the ability of paving materials to enhance the environment and promote sustainability; integration of renewable energy in pavement designs; and greenhouse gas emissions reduction, including findings from the materials to reduce greenhouse gas emissions program under subsection (d). .
