Section 504(e)(1) of title 23, United States Code, is amended— by redesignating subparagraphs

(F)and

(G)as subparagraphs

(G)and (H), respectively; and by inserting after subparagraph

(E)the following: tuition and direct educational expenses or other costs of instruction related to the work zone safety training and certification of employees of State and local transportation agencies and surface transportation construction workers; .
