In this Act: The term European country means the following: Albania. Andorra. Austria. Belgium. Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bulgaria. Croatia. Cyprus. The Czech Republic. Denmark. Estonia. Finland. France. Germany. Greece. Hungary. Ireland. Italy. Kosovo. Latvia. Liechtenstein. Lithuania. Luxembourg. Moldova. Monaco. Montenegro. The Netherlands. North Macedonia. Norway. Poland. Portugal. Romania. San Marino. Serbia. Slovakia. Slovenia. Spain. Sweden. Switzerland. Ukraine. United Kingdom.
Vatican City. The term early-stage project support includes— feasibility studies; resource evaluations; project appraisal and costing; pilot projects; commercial support, such as trade missions, reverse trade missions, technical workshops, international buyer programs, and international partner searchers to link suppliers to projects; technical assistance and other guidance to improve the local regulatory environment and market frameworks to encourage transparent competition and enhance energy security; and long-term energy sector planning.
The term late-stage project support includes loans, guarantees, insurance, reinsurance, equity investments, and transaction advisory services. The term international financial institution has the meaning given the term in section 1701(c) of the International Financial Institutions Act ( 22 U.S.C. 262r(c) ).
