Section 2(b)(3) of the Mineral Leasing Act ( 30 U.S.C. 202(b)(3) ) is amended by adding at the end the following: Subject to applicable penalties for submitting false data, the licensee shall certify the accuracy of the data submitted under this paragraph. The Secretary shall consider whether to independently verify the data submitted under this paragraph. The Secretary shall conduct and document any inspections of exploration activities conducted under this section. .
