Section 7353 of title 5, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a), in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking anything of value and inserting a gift ; and in subsection (d)— in paragraph (1), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: the term gift means anything of value, including transportation, travel, lodgings and meals, whether provided in-kind, by purchase of a ticket, payment in advance, or reimbursement after the expense has been incurred. . The Judicial Conference of the United States shall promulgate regulations to carry out the amendment made by subsection
(a)with respect to the judicial branch.
