The Secretary of Transportation shall conduct a study on the overbooking policies of air carriers and how the policies impact the United States economy. In conducting the study, the Secretary shall assess the effects of the overbooking policies on increasing or decreasing the costs of passenger air transportation. Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to Congress a report on the results of the study.
