Section 127e of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by redesignating subsection
(g)as subsection (h); and by inserting after subsection
(f)the following new subsection (g): The Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict shall have primary responsibility within the Office of the Secretary of Defense for oversight of policies and programs for support authorized by this section. . Subsection
(h)of such section, as redesignated by subsection (a)(1) of this section is further amended— in paragraph (1)— in the heading, by striking and inserting calendar year ; fiscal year by striking March 1 each year and inserting 120 days after the end of the preceding fiscal year of each year ; and by striking the preceding calendar year and inserting such preceding fiscal year ; and in paragraph (2)— in the heading, by striking and inserting calendar year ; fiscal year by striking September 1 and inserting July 1 ; and by striking the calendar year and inserting the fiscal year .
