Section 1234 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 ( Public Law 110–181 ; 122 Stat. 394), as most recently amended by section 1201 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 130 Stat. 2473), is further amended— in subsection (a), by striking fiscal year 2017 and inserting fiscal year 2018 ; in subsection (d), by striking during the period beginning on October 1, 2016, and ending on December 31, 2017 and inserting during the period beginning on October 1, 2017, and ending on December 31, 2018 ; and in subsection (e)(1), by striking December 31, 2017 and inserting December 31, 2018 .
