Subsection
(b)of section 813 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ) is amended— in paragraph (5), by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; in paragraph (6), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and by adding at the end the following new paragraphs: the Department of Defense would not realize any additional innovation or future technological advantage by using a different methodology; and the items procured are predominantly expendable in nature, non-technical, or a short life expectancy or short shelf life. . Subsection
(d)of such section is amended by striking contract exceeding $10,000,000 and inserting contract exceeding $5,000,000 .
