Sec. 1086. Exception to the interdepartmental waiver doctrine for cleanup of vehicle crashes

Notwithstanding the interdepartmental waiver doctrine, the Secretary of Defense may, at the request of the affected Federal department or agency, expend funds necessary for cleanup resulting from an activity of the Department of Defense involving a vehicle crash on land or other property under the jurisdiction of another Federal department or agency. The authority under subsection
(a)includes expenditures necessary to complete cleanup to meet the regulations of the affected department or agency, which may be different than the regulations applicable to the Department.
