Sec. 7102. Matters relating to certain school designations and declarations

Section 1404(14) of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. 3103(14) ) is amended— by striking subparagraph
(A)and inserting the following: The terms NLGCA Institution and non-land-grant college of agriculture mean a public college or university offering a baccalaureate or higher degree in the study of agricultural sciences, forestry, or both in any area of study described in clause (ii). An area of study referred to in clause
(i)may include any of the following: Agriculture. Agricultural business and management. Agricultural economics. Agricultural mechanization. Agricultural production operations. Aquaculture. Agricultural and food products processing. Agricultural and domestic animal services. Equestrian or equine studies. Applied horticulture or horticulture operations. Ornamental horticulture. Greenhouse operations and management. Turf and turfgrass management. Plant nursery operations and management. Floriculture or floristry operations and management. International agriculture. Agricultural public services. Agricultural and extension education services. Agricultural communication or agricultural journalism. Animal sciences. Food science. Plant sciences. Soil sciences. Forestry. Forest sciences and biology. Natural resources or conservation. Natural resources management and policy. Natural resource economics. Urban forestry. Wood science and wood products or pulp or paper technology. Range science and management. Agricultural engineering. Any other area, as determined appropriate by the Secretary. ; and in subparagraph (C)— in the matter preceding clause (i), by inserting any institution designated under after include ; by striking clause (i); and in clause (ii)— by striking
(ii)any institution designated under— ; by striking subclause (IV); in subclause (II), by adding or at the end; in subclause (III), by striking ; or at the end and inserting a period; and by redesignating subclauses (I), (II), and
(III)as clauses (i), (ii), and (iii), respectively, and indenting appropriately. Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall establish a process to review each designated NLGCA Institution (as defined in section 1404(14)(A) of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. 3103(14)(A) )) to ensure compliance with that section (as amended by subsection (a)). If the Secretary determines under paragraph
(1)that an NLGCA Institution is not in compliance with section 1404(14)(A) of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. 3103(14)(A) ) (as amended by subsection (a)), the designation of that NLGCA Institution shall be revoked.
