Section 1402 of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. 3101 ) is amended— in paragraph (7), by striking and after the semicolon; in paragraph (8), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: support international collaboration that leverages resources and advances priority food and agricultural interests of the United States, such as— addressing emerging plant and animal diseases; improving crop varieties and animal breeds; and developing safe, efficient, and nutritious food systems. .
