Section 1473G of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. 3319j ) is amended— in subsection (c)(2)— in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking shall support and inserting support ; in subparagraph (C), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (D), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: the development of agricultural extension services in eligible countries. ; and in subsection (f)— by striking The Secretary and inserting the following:
The Secretary ; and by adding at the end the following: In carrying out the purposes and programs under this section, the Secretary shall encourage ongoing engagement with fellowship recipients who have completed training under the program to provide advice regarding, and participate in, new or ongoing agricultural development projects, with a priority for capacity-building projects, that are sponsored by— Federal agencies; and institutions of higher education in the eligible country of the fellowship recipient. .
