Section 6(d) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 ( 7 U.S.C. 2015(d) ) is amended— in paragraph (1)(A)(ii), by striking established under paragraph
(4)and inserting administered or approved by the applicable State ; and in paragraph (4)— by striking subparagraphs
(A)and (B); by redesignating subparagraphs (C), (D), (E), and
(F)as subparagraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D), respectively; in subparagraph
(A)(as so redesignated), by inserting administered or approved by the State after training program ; in subparagraph
(C)(as so redesignated), by striking subparagraph
(D)in one or more employment and training programs under this paragraph and inserting subparagraph
(B)in one or more employment and training programs administered or approved by the State ; in subparagraph
(D)(as so redesignated)— in clause (i), by striking carried out under this paragraph and inserting administered or approved by the State ; in clause (ii), by striking any hours worked in another program carried out under section 20 and ; and in clause (iii), by striking a program under this paragraph and inserting an employment and training program administered or approved by the State ; by striking subparagraphs
(G)through (K); by redesignating subparagraph
(L)as subparagraph (E); and by striking subparagraph (M). Section 6(e) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 ( 7 U.S.C. 2015(e) ) is amended by striking paragraph
(3)and inserting the following: is assigned to, or placed in, an institution of higher education through, or in compliance with, the requirements of a training program that is administered or approved by the State, including a program of worker training services and activities under the CAREER Act; . Section 6(o) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 ( 7 U.S.C. 2015(o) ) is amended by striking paragraph
(1)and inserting the following: In this subsection, the term work program means a program of employment and training operated or supervised by a State or political subdivision of a State that meets standards approved by the Governor of the State, other than a job search program or a job search training program. .
