Section 221(a) of the Trade Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 2271(a) ) is amended— in paragraph (1)(C), by striking , one-stop operators and all that follows through a State dislocated worker unit, and inserting , one-stop operators (as defined in section 101 of the CAREER Act), or State employment security agencies, ; and in paragraph (2), by striking shall— and all that follows through
(B)assist and inserting shall assist . Section 222(d)(2)(A)(iv) of the Trade Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 2272(d)(2)(A)(iv) ) is amended by striking or one-stop partners and all that follows through Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) and inserting (as defined in section 101 of the CAREER Act) . Section 236 of the Trade Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 2296 ) is amended— in subsection (a)(5)— in subparagraph (B), by striking provided by a State pursuant to title I of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and inserting provided by a State pursuant to title III of the CAREER Act ; in subparagraph (C), by striking approved by a private industry council established under section 102 and inserting approved by a local workforce investment board established under section 222 of the CAREER Act ; and in the last sentence, by striking title I of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and inserting title III of the CAREER Act ; and by striking subsection (b). Section 237 of the Trade Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 2297 ) is amended to read as follows: Each State, using the funds distributed to the State under section 236(a), shall designate a portion for supplemental services described in section 316 of the CAREER Act and distribute the portion to the State board under section 313(b)(2) of that Act. . Section 238 of the Trade Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 2298 ) is repealed. The table of contents for the Trade Act of 1974 is amended by striking the items relating to sections 237 and 238 and inserting the following: Sec. 237. Supplemental services. . Section 239 of the Trade Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 2311 ) is amended— in subsection (f), by striking of this Act and all that follows through Opportunity Act and inserting of this Act and under title III of the CAREER Act ; and by striking subsection (h). Section 245(b) of the Trade Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 2317(b) ) is amended by striking sections 235 through 238 and inserting sections 235 through 237 .
