Sec. 3138. Report on United States nuclear deterrence

Not later than 15 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Energy shall, consistent with the protection of sources and methods, submit to the appropriate congressional committees the full, unredacted report, and any related materials, titled U.S. Nuclear Deterrence in the Coming Decades , dated August 15, 2014. The Secretary may submit to the appropriate congressional committees, with the report submitted under subsection (a), a cover letter containing any views or perspectives of the Secretary on the report or related matters.
In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the congressional defense committees; and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.
