Section 4522 of the Atomic Energy Defense Act ( 50 U.S.C. 2672 ) is amended— by striking subsection (e); and by redesignating subsection
(f)as subsection (e). Section 3122 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 ( Public Law 112–239 ; 50 U.S.C. 2571 note) is amended— in subsection (b)(1), by striking , and to the Comptroller General of the United States, ; by striking subsection (e); and by redesignating subsections
(f)and
(g)as subsections
(e)and (f), respectively. Section 3255 of the National Nuclear Security Administration Act ( 50 U.S.C. 2455 ) is amended— by redesignating subsection
(b)as subsection (c); and by inserting after subsection
(a)the following new subsection (b): The requirements of subsection
(a)shall not apply with respect to the nuclear security budget materials submitted for fiscal year 2018 or 2019. . Section 3139(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 ( Public Law 114–92 ; 129 Stat. 1215; 50 U.S.C. 2367 note) is amended to read as follows: Not later than March 31, 2016, and annually thereafter through 2019, the President shall provide to the appropriate congressional committees a briefing on the strategy developed under subsection (a). In addition to the briefings required by paragraph (1), the President shall provide to the appropriate congressional committees a notification or briefing if there is a development in additive manufacture technology, or increased use of additive manufacture technology, that could pose an increased risk to the United States from nuclear proliferation. .
