Sec. 105. Timely processing by student loan servicers of requests submitted by servicemembers

Each servicer of a student loan of a servicemember that was issued by or guaranteed by the Federal Government shall ensure that each request submitted to the servicer by a servicemember for a benefit or protection under this Act, the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act ( 50 U.S.C. 3901 et seq. ), and any other applicable provision of law is processed by the servicer before the earlier of the following: The date that is 14 days after the date that the person received the request from the servicemember. Such date as the Secretary of Education may prescribe.
