Section 506 of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 290aa–5 ) is amended— in subsections (a), by striking substance abuse and inserting substance use disorder ; in subsection (b)— in paragraphs
(1)and (3), by striking substance abuse each place the term appears and inserting substance use disorder ; and in paragraph (4), by striking substance abuse and inserting a substance use disorder ; in subsection (c)— in paragraph (1), by striking substance abuse disorder and inserting substance use disorder ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A), by striking substance abuse and inserting a substance use disorder ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking substance abuse and inserting substance use disorder ; and in subsection (e), by striking , $50,000,000 for fiscal year 2001, and such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 2002 and 2003 and inserting such sums as may be necessary for each of fiscal years 2017 through 2021 .
